So I guess AMD is finally ready to bring their new RX Vega cards to market. They’ve announced two cards: the RX Vega 56 and the RX Vega 64, going for $400 and $500 respectively. They’re also selling the two cards in bundles with monitor, CPU, and motherboard discounts for $100 more. They also announced a water cooled version of the RX Vega 64, but you can only get it with that hardware discount bundle for $700.
These cards will be available starting on August 14th, but hold off for benchmarks and actual performance figures before pulling the trigger. In the video you can see AMD is claiming the RX Vega 64 gets roughly 12% increased performance over the 1080 FE in Doom at 1440p, but that’s the only numbers we have right now. If it’s true though, especially at a $500 price point, we should see some hefty price drops for Nvidia’s higher end lineup.
